- Remember to stagger entrances to Big Set
- Tables and sittables come first, food comes second. If you have to dance, tables and sittable people should be ready to take props from dancers.
- Memorize running order so you can react appropriately at one song leading into the next song
- Work on acknowledging/ greeting/ talking to people you move to onstage. Create a reason that you go there besides “Roberta told you to”
- Remember to respond specifically to your own children and other children during children’s set. Read the words to Three Craws so you know the jokes.
- Please do not get mugs until the beginning of Wassail
- Kentucky Wassail –
- The table should begin to move on as children clear during Glory to the Mountain.
- Children and Gran move first, then front bench, table, back bench, sittable crate from UL to table
- Band moves while children clear to cover table set up and talk about what to play next
- The two side chairs got there on time, thank you
- Wassail scene and toasts went pretty well last night!
- People on the ends, don’t spread out and take up the whole stage. Stay close to the group.
- JEFF ASHFORD try to get out of the crowd to say your toast if you can, or step up on a bench
- After Farmer’s Toast, everyone should quickly move out of center area of stage to positions for Shady Grove. Shady Grove positioning will change to accommodate DAVID POTTS-DUPRE and BAND
- FATHERS begin to move when women downstage, don’t move until song starts
- People who are closest to table should clear props and move out first
- TAI, BERNIE, JENNIFER talk to Roberta about exit out of lullaby into meeting in the woods
- TAI hold baby without basket through the whole meeting in the woods scene
- ANDREA can the women go down and sit at Jim’s feet during start of Meeting in the Woods
- We will keep working on the shapenote square, great first try in the new space
- The move downstage during Promise Land was very nice, don’t go too far downstage– give yourself room to travel further during final verse of Amazing Grace
- Anyone who is center for Lord of the Dance, move out of their way in all one move,
TEEN CHORUS
- WALLY, AVA, SASHA, and LILA are moving music stand for brass prelude
- Please lower the stands to seated level when you bring them offstage
- You will be assured by Arthur to get all five chairs and music stands up
- ARI will hold curtain for brass
- ARI, LILA, WALLY hand off bells for Deck the Hall
- LEAH check in every day with band to see what they need in terms of instrument hand off
- LILA, LEAH we don’t need you to dance DSR with the children during Big Set, you can sit on the DSR stairs? and watch the dancing instead
- LILA is bringing the ladle from SR to kids for Aiken Drum
- WALLY brings and removes bench center for Three Craws
- All – don’t look like you’re waiting to dance during Shady Grove. We will work on fixing this.
- You won’t be able to go outside the theatre and back until Wednesday, we will work on it then
